The Bosch GDS18V-740C 18V PROFACTOR Connected 1/2 In. Impact Wrench with Friction Ring is designed for breaking free and driving large bolts, nuts and anchors quickly. It is part of the PROFACTOR System, which pairs BITURBO Brushless Technology with a CORE18V PROFACTOR battery. BITURBO Brushless Technology is a high-performance motor and drive-train system designed to deliver power comparable to high-demand corded tools. The included CORE18V PROFACTOR Performance 8.0 Ah battery is compatible with Bosch 18V tools and optimized for PROFACTOR tools. It delivers 2x more runtime than GBA18V40. The tool delivers up to 740 Ft.-Lbs. fastening torque and 1,180 Ft.-Lbs. breakaway torque, while maintaining long runtime. In addition to three speed/torque settings this impact wrench also features special modes to prevent workpiece and fastener damage. The presets include modes for metal screws and wood lag screws. Additional modes and customizations for specific screws and materials can be set and saved to the tool via the Bosch Toolbox App (connectivity module included). In reverse, with bolt mode activated, the Auto Bolt Release stops rotation when there is no load on the tool to help prevent accidentally dropping bolts and nuts during removal. In addition to customizing settings and modes, connectivity (connectivity module included) provides tool specific information and feedback. The variable-speed trigger provides accurate driving speed. It also has an LED light system to illuminate the work area. The wrench features a rubber head casing that protects workpiece and tool from damage.
